ECDC has released its latest report on HIV issues in EU and EEA – “The Status of the HIV Response in the European Union / European Economic Area, 2016”, emphasizing increasing number of HIV infected among heterosexual people.
Some of key messages are – HIV is still a significant public health problem in the EU/EEA and coverage and uptake of prevention interventions is insufficient to reduce the number of new HIV infections.
