On October 19, 2016 first interactive lecture – “How HIV refers to me?” – was held in University of Daugavpils.
Introduction part of the lecture was hosted by Raimonds Elbakjans – official messenger of the campaign. Speakers were dr. Inga Januskevica, infectologist at Latvian Centre of Infectious Diseases and actor of stand up comedies – Rudolfs Kugrens.
The aim of the campaign is to inform society about the alarming HIV prevalence rates in Latvia emphasizing that HIV can affect all regardless of the age, gender or social status, to promote willingness to make HIV test once in a year, as well as to reduce the stigma of HIV patients as an elements of particular social group.
