HIV in Europe is working towards creating a European HIV Testing week

The HIV in Europe Steering Committee has informed that plans are underway to introduce a new date in the HIV calendar. HIV in Europe is working towards creating a European HIV Testing week that will raise awareness of the importance of early and regular HIV testing amongst those most at risk in the week ahead of World AIDS Day 2013 – Friday 22 November to Friday 29 November 2013.

Harm Reduction International (HRI) and Eurasian Harm Reduction Network (EHRN) are pleased to announce that the next International Harm Reduction 2013 Conference 
(Harm Reduction 2013) will be held on 9th – 12th June 2013 in Vilnius, Lithuania. The key theme of the upcoming conference is “The Value/s of Harm Reduction.” 
Please find attached the official announcement of the conference.

 

This conference is the major international event for all those interested in harm reduction and people who use drugs around the world. Harm Reduction 2013 will include high
profile keynote speeches, plenary sessions, workshops, film festival, poster exhibition, dialogue space, a dedicated track of events in the Russian language and social and
networking events. The main language of the conference will be English but simultaneous translation will be provided in Russian in all plenary and major sessions.

May 17-18, 2012 – Participation in ,,The Baltics HIV meeting” in Riga, organized by Latvian Association of Infectologists and Hepatologists and supported by GSK Latvia on behalf of ViiV Healthcare.

SONY DSC Two ,,Baltic HIV Association” members participated in ,,The Baltics HIV meeting” where was discussed about HIV treatment as prevention, health economics aspects of late presenters, antiretroviral treatment (ART) and care of HIV infected drug users as well as treatment of tuberculosis in a case of HIV infection. All three Baltic countries treatment experience and role of NGOs was discussed.
